The Dupes Dilemma

Had an interesting interview this morning with Mike Hoskings on Newstalk ZB on the ongoing problem that New Zealand designers and clothing manufacturers have with fast fashion copycatting:

The interview was pretty brief, but if you want a deeper dive into the topic, have a look here:

Hopefully,  my practical suggestion that the 120 or so fashion designers and manufacturers who are members of Fashion & Textile NZ put their heads together and set up a registry or single desk to handle complaints and simplify the takedown process for their members is picked up. That way, individual businesses won’t be burdened with the time and effort required to submit complaints against specifically identified counterfeits or dupes.
