Trials with AI “jurors” like ChatGPT, Grok, and Claude still some way off!

UNC professor of law in jurisprudence and ethics, Eric Muller, acted as an observer and commentator of a mock trial in the US. He was not overly impressed and pointed out that bots are not there yet and can’t read body language and they lack the wisdom of experience that real jurors have. However, Muller pointed out that these shortcomings can be fixed and AI is very good and learning from its mistakes. More to the point, he warns that it will wheedle its way into every human space if we let it. That, I suggest, is the real question we have to address.
